# 8. Merge duplicate contacts

**If the contacts are duplicated at the Contact interface, the user ticks on duplicated contacts, the "Merge contact" option will appear as shown in the image below.**

**At the next step, the user selects the receiving contact to keep, select "Merge contact"**

**Notes:**

* After merging, all tickets and notes of Contacts will be transferred to the Receiving Contact.
* The fields of the Source Contact are merged into the Receiving Contact.
* Contacts will be deleted once the merge is complete.
